A smooth transition for LaSalle Bank account holders is our goal.

We’re delighted to let you as a LaSalle Bank account holder know that the combining of the LaSalle Bank and Bank of America banking networks is just about complete. Soon you will be able to take full advantage of the resources, opportunities and convenience we offer at Bank of America.

Your existing accounts will move to the Bank of America system as of Friday, October 17, 2008. In mid- to late-August, we will mail packages that include important detailed information regarding any changes to your accounts and banking relationship with Bank of America, answers to questions you may have related to the transition, and any legally required disclosure booklets. If you have not received your package by mid September, please contact us.

If you use LaSalle Bank online banking services, please note that in mid- to late-September we will also mail packages with important detailed information regarding your upgrade to the award-winning Bank of America Online Banking service.

We encourage you to read the contents of any packages you receive, and in the meantime, we’ve provided some general transition related information below.

Bank of America ATMs

  • You’ll receive same day credit for non-cash deposits made at Deposit Image ATMs on a business day before the posted cutoff time. For more information about our Deposit Image ATMs, visit bankofamerica.com/imageatm.
  • In addition to our Deposit Image ATMs, you’ll be able to make deposits at our more than 7,000 Deposit Envelope ATMs and receive next business day availability of your funds.
  • More services available at our ATMs will include the ability to change your PIN at the machine, access your line of credit, and make credit card payments by linking your credit card to your ATM or Check Card.

Online Banking

  • Continue to bank online at lasallebank.com through October 19, 2008.
  • In mid- to late-September, you will receive a separate communication with detailed information about your upgrade to the award-winning Bank of America Online Banking service at bankofamerica.com. To help ensure that your existing password and ID transfer properly to your new online service, be sure to log in to your online banking service at lasallebank.com at least once prior to October 17, 2008.
  • Beginning October 20, 2008, you can access your accounts through Bank of America’s award-winning Online Banking service at bankofamerica.com. Bank of America’s Online Banking service offers free Bill Pay and a number of other new features and benefits including online statements and alerts to monitor your account activity.

Checking and savings accounts

  • Your checking and savings account numbers will remain the same. We will, however, add zeros to the beginning of your account number, increasing it to 12 digits. No action is required on your part as a result of this change.
  • Please continue to use your existing supply of checks and deposit slips. The next time you order checks through us after October 20, 2008, your checks will contain your 12-digit account number and the Bank of America routing transit number.
  • Direct deposits, automatic payments and scheduled transfers will continue without interruption, unless you are notified otherwise.

Continued FDIC Coverage

  • The merger of the LaSalle Bank and Bank of America bank charters will occur on October 17, 2008. At that time, the deposits at each bank will be separately insured for a period of six months. After this period ends on April 17, 2009, Bank of America and former LaSalle Bank deposits will be combined for the purpose of FDIC coverage.
  • Certificate of Deposits (CDs) that are opened or renewed before October 17, 2008, will be insured separately until maturity. CDs that mature between October 17, 2008 and April 17, 2009 and renew for the same amount and term, continue to be insured separately until the maturity date of the renewed term. CDs that mature before April 17, 2009 and are not renewed for the same amount and term will not be insured separately after April 17, 2009.
  • If you have any questions or need more information, please contact us.

Posting of ACH (Automated Clearing House) Entries to Existing Accounts

  • ACH entries will continue to post to your existing accounts. Beginning October 20, 2008, there will be new ACH Routing Transit (RT) numbers for some accounts. For affected accounts, Bank of America will automatically generate an ACH Notification of Change (NOC) for each incoming transaction, informing the originators to change the RT number on future transactions.
  • Originators of ACH entries should not make any changes to RT numbers until they receive the NOC with the correct RT number to use beginning October 20, 2008.

Deposit account statements

  • The first statement you receive after October 17, 2008, may reflect transactions for more or less than a full month, depending on your statement cycle. Future statements will include a full month’s activity, and may arrive on a different date than before.
  • Statements will be mailed to the address on our records as of October 17, 2008.
  • Online statements are available for some accounts at no charge and up to 18 months of statement history will be available as of October 20, 2008. We encourage you to sign up for this service in place of paper statements to help streamline your paperwork, reduce clutter and protect the environment.
  • If you currently receive a combined statement that includes either a checking or money market savings account, you will continue to receive a combined statement. We will combine your personal accounts separately from your business accounts.

Improved Funds Availability

In most instances, you will now have faster access to your deposited funds. Our general policy is to make funds from deposited checks available to you no later than the first business day after the day we receive your deposit. If we need to delay the availability of a deposit, we will inform you.

ATM/Check Card

Your ATM/Check Card will have new benefits including greater security. Our Total Security Protection® is free and automatically available for all Bank of America Check Cards. For example, with Photo Security®, you can put your picture on the front of your card, providing greater defense against theft, loss, or unauthorized use of your Check Card.

Safe deposit boxes and night deposit service

  • If your annual payment is due in October or November 2008, your invoice will be mailed approximately October 24, 2008.
  • Annual payments will be due 35 days after the date the invoice is mailed.
  • If you make your payments through automatic deduction, this service will continue without interruption unless you are notified otherwise.

Wire Routing Information

To ensure incoming wire transfers are processed and posted to your accounts, you will need to provide anyone sending wire transfers to you with the following new routing information to be used beginning Monday, October 20, 2008.
Routing transit/ABA #: 026009593
CHIPS Participant # if requested: 0959
SWIFT address if requested: BOFAUS3N for U.S. dollar and foreign currency wire transfers

  • You may receive two tax statements at year end from Banc of America Investment Services, Inc. One will reflect your former LaSalle Financial Services, Inc. account and the second one will reflect your Banc of America Investment Services account.

Provided your account is open and in good standing, we will mail you a replacement Bank of America Business Credit Card with a new account number on October 8, 2008. If you were recently re-issued a Bank of America Business Credit Card because it had expired or was reported lost or stolen, you will receive a replacement Bank of America Business Credit Card with a new account number to replace your current card and account number.
  • In early September, you will receive a separate communication with detailed information about the transition of your business credit card account.
